Britain Commends Nigeria over Zimbabwe Deal

Britain’s Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary, David Miliband yesterday lauded the role played by Nigeria in securing Thursday’s power-sharing deal between Zimbabwean president, Robert Mugabe and opposition leader, Morgan Tsvangirai.
Mugabe is to retain control of the army and chair cabinet meetings, according to leaks from Thursday's power-sharing deal. Tsvangirai will control the police force and chair a new council of ministers.
An enthusiastic Miliband who called Foreign Affairs Minister, Chief Ojo Maduekwe yesterday, commended and affirmed the role played by Nigeria in the search for peace in Zimbabwe. [Source]
